Augustine “Augie” Emuwa is the founder and principal consultant of Identity Capital Consulting, where he helps civically-minded leaders transform their potential into thriving organizational culture. A bridge builder at his core, Augie specializes in guiding mission-driven professionals from introspection to action—developing systems and storytelling strategies that strengthen leadership identity and create lasting organizational impact.
Born to a mother diagnosed with schizophrenia and an immigrant father who survived Nigeria’s civil wars as a child soldier, Augie’s life was shaped by resilience, faith, and purpose. Those early experiences laid the foundation for a life dedicated to equity, innovation, and service.
In 2019, he pivoted into full-time entrepreneurship—building his consulting practice and co-founding Dinobi Detergent, a toxin-free laundry brand rooted in family wellness and social impact. Created alongside his wife and children, the venture stands as a living example of his belief in equity-driven economics and the power of business to care for communities in meaningful ways.
Augie is the author of The Social Capital Quotient, a reflection of his leadership evolution and a call for greater self-advocacy among mission-driven professionals. He is currently working on his second book, which explores the powerful premise that identity is capital—a vital resource that forward-thinking organizations must learn to understand, invest in, and leverage.
Rooted in Chicago and based in Charlotte, with connections stretching from the West Coast to the East Coast and global markets, Augie leads with both vision and heart. A passionate speaker and creative at his core, he also channels his love for hip hop into music that mirrors his mission—relevant to the moment, grounded in substance, and unapologetically driven by purpose.
